College Dreams- the story of General Computer

In 1981, A couple of MIT students named Doug Macrae and Kevin Curran started a small company called General Computer. These guys loved video games, played video games, bought a few arcade games, and even had their own coin-op route on campus. But the two kids were just engineering students and didn’t have the factory resources to make big arcade games from scratch. So instead they just made these enhancement boards that would connect to the circuit boards of existing arcade games and modify them into new and improved versions. So began the start of their amazing video game career.

Hello and welcome,

Play Value has finished its run at On Networks. Right now, what you see is what you get. No more new episodes here.

The producer of Play Value is in talks with several other sites with the hopes of taking the show to a new home. Stay tuned for further updates (and read all the posts below for further details).

GOOD NEWS. I'm currently talking with Craig over at ScrewAttack about what can possibly be done and working together with them. Will keep everyone posted, but this is an exciting development.

offer him a position on the show to help persuade him.

yeah that or some one else

yay but make sure we can also download the episodes on itunes

Direct download links would be even better (not an iTunes fan). :)

GT has direct download links for multiple formats of all their original content. Very convenient.

Yeah GT has thought of EVERYTHING!

Jeremiah,

Can you please try to work out in the final deal (if and when it comes to pass) that the new episodes are still downloadable in HD (just like the old episodes are right now).

The flash player size is nice for a quick viewing, but its nice to be able to hook the laptop up to the TV and watch the videos full screen in good quality.

Thanks again for the continuing updates.

Brilliant! Im extremly happy to hear the news! I hope for the best. Thanks for the info.

Yeah i agree, We all did our best. so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope Jeremiah gives us the news we want to hear. *Crossed Fingers*

Thanks for the update.

you know jet pilot we really played a huge part in reviving the show

Well, I really hope that GameTrailers and/or ScrewAttack can come through for Jeremiah and all the fans of this great show.

If not, at least we can all be satisfied that we did everything that we could to keep the show alive.

if game trailers doesn't pick it up, it doesn't mean we are going to stop. there are all sorts of websites that would love to have play value; we just need to find them.

yeah i mean think about it but screwattack liked the show and i think gametrailers did to

That's good...but don't get your hopes up too high. Until it's official, it would be wise to lower your expectations.

I'm sure there are many variables that go into setting up a show like this that we are unfamiliar with, so temper your expectations and you won't be so let down should the outcome not be to our liking.

Hope for the best, expect the worst is really what I'm trying to say. I'm hoping this show gets picked up as much as you are. But I don't plan to get all excited until I see an official statement to that end.

you have to get exited that there is the attention to the show. even if it doesn't get picked up, ther's going to be atleast one more person watching the show.

Ugh...disregard. That was supposed to go below Jeremiah's update.

this is really suspencfull

i actua;;y downloaded miro just so i can watch the show

hey if you look back at on's post looky here

don't think we are all bad people we are just rtrying to revive the show

Lurk More.

get with the program

Come on guys. Don't be dicks to the guy. He's probably just stumbled upon the show and wants to see more episodes like we do. The more fans the show has, the better chance it has of being picked up elsewhere.

On Networks canned the show (as of right now, this was the final episode) so Jeremiah is shopping the show around to other sites to see if any of them are interested in picking it up for additional episodes.
