I read the post with interest. I find when I ask a lady out, that often times she is so engrossed in what I can do for her, not who I am as a person. It's all about how much money I make, what kind of car I drive, what kind of house I live in, etc. Nothing about how I am as a person, my heart and soul, what kind of man I am in a relationship. women are so into the materials things and being taken care of, despite their own ability to properly care for themself. I see they want the cake and eat it too (old fashioned that the man take care of them, security, etc. then if they make more money than the man, he is worthless to them....what a poor attitude).I believe in chivalry, opening a car door, being polite, etc. Seems like most women do not really care about that. They want a man to be polite and listen, then from my observations, mostly blow you off. Communication is definitely a key. I am very direct and honest to a woman. I want her to understand how well I think of her or understand her. Rarely do I find her taking the same interest in me. I don't think I am a boring person, in fact I think quite interesting, but often I feel it is all about them, not about us! I don't mind picking up the tab, especially if I am asking a woman out, but it is nice for a woman to at least show some appreciation of my efforts, even if she will not go out with me again (like thanks for a nice evening). Women want to be treated like ladies, but I think they have also lost the manners to treat a man as a gentleman. We need that too, you know! Andrea, why don't you speak on the mistakes a woman makes on a date or poor attitudes that really turn a man off? Give her tips on how to be a proper date! It's not all the guys fault you know! LOL's
