Zsciaeount, sir i like the fact you do your research and are just as enthused about the ideas in which you portray as i am. I see all the things you see when it comes to this show and you know what i totally agree, hahaha we should try to get on the staff. Jeremiah i must say i liked this episode alot it brought alot into perspective and might i add you even mentioned some stuff i had forgotten, good work. I questioned some of the referenaces you used though like capcom and konami who might i say are asshole sellouts that screwed over nintendo on several accounts which goes to prove how twofaced this market really is. All in all konami would end up running back to microsoft anyway i mean microsoft did give konami a head start on the MSX. I will say that i of course loved this episode because of the fact you managed to bring up such greatly developed points such as the court case which was settled but i will disagree on the fact that atari never disappeared they were just in hiding for a couple years. anyway good work again...one day i hope to find a job through you guys..haha
Good question: "what do you think of our take on Geek Chic". i'll be honest i don't like it at, i'll start with the plastic frame glasses. A fad from the mid nineties worn by skaters and now worn by scene kids who live in suburbia that's not really geek at all. As for the plain dress shirt on "Geek #1" i'm gonna have to say no i would have gone with the untucked pin stripe dress shirt unbuttoned at the top and no tie as well as black jeans on a dress shirt, come on big time clash. As for "Geek #2" the vest ensemble works i like the get up but i'm not to sure about calling that a geek style. Good job overall
Lmao!!...good stuff i'm not even gonna critique this one...all i have to say is i was impressed you talked about activision but i was more surprised you didn't say the stoner quality that it portrayed then is still being portrayed now in games like tony hawk...anyway good work...i just wanna know why jeff is wearing the same clothes in this video...and shandi is of course hot..thank you once again
Jeremiah I must say you pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one...unfortunately i've seen this documentary done in 30 minutes on A&E 4 years ago. None the less i enjoyed it alot I totally forgot about the tengen thing, it really puts the whole atari getting screwed over in a broader view. I was wondering do you have to work in any legal factors when you make these videos? like could you possibly be sued by a company (say nintendo) for showing there games?
haha...and the term conform isn't ambivalent at all the fact that "you like men" is ambivalent because i mean it's so braud..anyway i'm done here...have a good day
lmao!!...i hope you didn't cry while you were writing that...you must be like a 300 pound 35 year old who lives in his parents basement and owns ever edition of the mirriam-websters dictionary aswell as all the encyclopedia brittannica...i applaud your effort to serve me but i give you a failing mark for trying way to hard by using the ideals that "buying soda pop" (who the fuck calls it soda pop) makes you a conformist...naw man you got the idea of conformity all wrong...you see conforming means joining a group or niche in which all ideas and opinions are the same...by saying you agree 100% you have conformed and have left no room for any of your own opinions...in reality you have only stolen the ideas from the show itself...and by playing games in your line of work do you mean being unemploied and only playing video games with no friends and poor sense self esteem?...it's ok man life goes on...so my friend you can walk and tell your friends (yourself in the mirror) that you got served...bitch!!
ProfessorMoneyBags, you are totally right before i write a post about this show i shoot up a big siringe of black tar heroine because honestly i can't think of any other way to enjoy myself more..you have to be kidding me "I've had the pleasure of experiencing each console listed, and agree completely with the views expressed." i don't see how you could be anymore unopinionative and any more conformist to this situation...how bout this do you know anything about the video game industry PMB...i'm gonna guess not...you're probably teaching your english class...because in a video post about video games all you care about is grammar
hahaha!...game over...you lose!
Don't you ever fuckin talk shit about the vetrex!!..ever...lmao!!...ok jeremiah here's where we start the ball'a'rollin...all mediums of communication evolve...books (coloring books, brail, books on tape and pop up books) movies (projector,Beta max, vhs and DVD) but see here's the thing yes alot of inventions fail but you know what it's also a learning lesson...in the video game industry there is no real learning lessons...just flat out competition...from the get go you mentioned the atari (which you mention alot in your videos) which came out with several versions of the initial system..which like the Xbox 360 now comes out with updates so that we don't have to buy a new x-box every 5 months or so
I will say though you made alot of valid points such as the idea of a "killer app" it's horrible to think that still applies today...most on and off video game players stick to the killer app titles..hence forth that's why halo is so popular..in the title itself is a killer app...even third party companies can become killer apps of there own right (square, capcom, konami, etc) you go way back and you can see it in VG history including mario and link...way back to pac man
The one thing that i disliked was the fact you mentioned the master system...that's a hot button for me...it was in its own way the beginning of sega...like the nintendo had the NES...there was the master system so it really wasn't a failed attempt...now the genesis i think was a failed attempt considering all the adds on it had...fucking horrible..just horrible.
all and all good work...i'm looking forward to see part 2 of this...i know the dreamcast will be the highlight...it's sad kind of...R.I.P Dreamcast...you had us with your blue stinger and your bleem...oh bleem
Sir, You have made this man very excited, haha i am going to wait eagerly to see how it all comes out with my fingers crossed. The first 2 were done extremely well and with great professionalism. When I read that you were going to do the sega vs nintendo episode i got very excited. and believe me you are right about the new comers we do have to get them into a set mind where they can be like us and enjoy the classics as well as the future of gaming. If there was any way i could contribute to this you just ask. I am extremely knowledgeable with this topic and as i can see so are you and your cast. Might I add i'm a fan of shandi. I am very impressed were are on the same basis I really look forward to the rest of your work mr black. You have a new fan
I really Enjoied watching both episodes but (and here's a big but) these are things that gaming fans should already know, I'm speaking of both the rise of Nintendo and the death of the arcade. Nintendo is a household name ask anyone about nintendo and they'll jump to "oh it's a video gaming company" but you guys didn't even mention the fact they were a card company before hand or even that they weren't really the first home console system which jumps over to the death of the arcade. All I have to say is the MSX from a now super tyrant computer company: Microsoft. If I was on this show or even a writer I'd bust out the Least known facts like the lack there of, of respect for current games from older gamers which I would call "Game Heritage: From Mario To Final Fantasy 7" which really carries the aspect of why most gamers from the past long forgotten only really respect games like chrono trigger or any classic previous and shun the new titles. Or how about "Console Vs Console" returning to the good old days when sega duked it out with nintendo and found a betrayal in a friend only known as Sony, Leaping from the idea that we'd wanna see things like Mario Vs Sonic, the new gamers don't appreciate this considering Mario is finally facing off against his long time rival Sonic in the olympic games for the Wii. Anyways I enjoied it none the less, keep on your toes and try to cover things as gamers for gamers not for gamers to the new comers, nobody cares about the new comers.
And I know what the worst console of all time is before you even display the video...3DO..even though this system was so amazingly made it had to much competition and the cost was amazingly high, it was the dreamcast of the generation before (very under rated) but alas the games weren't that great. I also would like to add that in this episode i loved the fact that the arcade was remarked in almost a jesus-esque like fashion I laughed at the idea because of its truthfulness. In a future episode i really hope you work in the video games to movies aspect, I have a very funny feeling you will because you touched base with it in this episode, I look forward to that.
First i'd like to add that i am very enthused that you replied so quickly to my response, that shows real dedication for your work. I don't mean to critique your work so aggressively but i am very inept when it comes to this topic. I know just by watching these 2 episodes that you have a wide aspect of knowledge on the subject as well which really impresses me because you stick well to the subject at hand. I was discussing to day with a very good friend of mine who manages a video game store about the death of arcades and he agrees totally on the views you've projected. It's very sad that the arcade is gone i remember back when i used to hand people there asses in street fighter 2..:(...anyway keep up the good work i am looking forward to the next episode.
Forgotten Consoles...Come on is this gonna be a guilt trip thing where you tell the viewers about how great the good old days were, tsk tsk the age demographic on the viewers for this don't wanna know about the jaguar or the atari...they wanna hear about the SNES and how it'll never be the same without it...that's why i cry myself to sleep at night...i'm sorry...haha
Of course you'd pick Frank Miller first on the topic of portrayal of Batman, I mean god forbid you mention Alex Ross at all. Horrible, come to think about it Long halloween wasn't good at all you should have said Death In Family or KnightFall... you didn't mention either. You glamourized on Adam West way to much and for a man who has blunt man and chronic in the backround i would have expected a little more class and taste and taken the kevin smith way out. I think you did this to get a shine from the release of "The Dark Knight" Movie, I would question your taste in Comics. You didn't mention superman being Batman's opposite and rival boost in the market at all...Shameful. But all that aside it was fun to watch
Oh My God!!...Amazing!...ahaha...seriously though dog in the pants is a rare diease and isn't funny at all....0001% of north americans have it and there is no cure
